Nutty Putty Cave November 2002 2002

Since we missed some camps earlier this fall, we decided to do an extra one in November, and it ended up on Thanksgiving weekend. It turned out to be a chilly but nice weekend without too much traffic in the cave. Friday night was cold and clear. The boys had fun playing some games that kept the running around and warm.

Saturday morning was cold and clear. We got up at the crack of dawn to be the first ones in the cave.

As it turned out, we were the only ones around. We saw cars coming and going last night, but no one else was camping.

Everyone shed their winter clothes just before going down into the cave.

You could feel warm, moist air coming up through the hole.

You'll see how my camera starts to fog up.

By the time Young-Tai looked back at me the camera lens had almost completly fogged over.

I took a few pictures inside the cave, and all of these first ones are fogged. While you can feel the humidity in the cave, it doesn't look foggy like these photos.

We got everyone together for this group photo. I took this one without wiping the lens. Then...

I cleaned the camera lens and took a better one.

The boys enjoyed exploring around to try to find other passages toward the end of the cave.
